realme Buds Air 2 — Key features

The key features on these latest Buds Air 2 comprise — ANC, 10mm Hi-Fi bass boost driver, smart wear detection, dual-mic noise cancellation features for better call quality, transparency mode, and smart wear detection.

Active Noise Cancellation

The Buds Air 2 supports up to 25dB of noise cancellation that claims to filter out most low-frequency noise. This might comprise rumbling sounds of subway, aeroplanes, for instance. Besides, realme recommends having a better ear fit with tips (provided included in the packaging), which could enhance passive noise cancellation as well. And, if users want the noise to be heard from the outside or someone nearby, Buds Air 2 has got you covered — thanks to its Transparency mode.

R2 chip and Bass Boost+

Underneath, realme is including an upgraded R2 chip, which primarily focuses on noise cancellation simultaneously utilizing lower power in order to achieve so. For audio, the Buds Air 2 utilizes a 10mm Hi-Fi bass boost driver and further, The Chainsmokers have designed a Bass Boost+ bass enhancement solution — that claims to maximise power with bass boost driver and DLC diaphragm.

Low-latency and Calls

realme Buds Air 2 buds utilise Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity and can easily be linked to your smartphone with the realme link app. To reduce latency to 88ms (milliseconds), Buds Air 2 uses Bluetooth 5.2 and the help of dual-channel transmission, specifically in gaming mode. This is said to be a significant 35% improvement from the predecessor.

The Buds Air 2 buds incorporate dual microphones to make yourself clear during calls. They further rely on the Environment Noise Cancellation algorithm to make calls more crystal on both ends.

Battery and Water resistance

The Buds Air 2 buds come along with a portable charging, like the predecessor. The earbuds along with the case need two hours to get fully charged, on which, the earbuds only require one-hour to fully charge. The battery life promises 25 hours playback time on a minimum of 50% volume level, this includes charging case backup alongside ANC feature off. Similarly 22.5 hours playback time with ANC ON. The earbuds come with an IPX5 water resistance rating only for earbuds, regardless, and not the case.

The other highlights of the realme Buds Air 2 include AAC, SBC audio codec support, Type-C port (for charging case), 10m effective range, touch controls on earbuds, smart wear detection, and Google Fast Pair.
