POCO has finally launched the next iteration to its F Series – POCO F2 Pro. Considering the current state of the world, the launch was conducted entirely online. The phone starts at 499 Euros (Rs 40,900 approximately) for the 6GB + 128GB model and 599 Euros (~Rs 49,000).

POCO F2 Pro – Specifications

The F2 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC, the most powerful Android chipset out there. It has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Poco has also introduced a new LiquidCool Technology 2.0, which is apparently an enhanced cooling tech with 10 heat sensors.

Some of the new gaming features include a 180Hz Sampling rate and a Z-axis linear motor. The phone has also received a TUV Rheinland High Gaming Performance certification. As far as the connectivity is concerned, you get support for Wi-Fi 6, 5G, and Super Bluetooth. The battery has a capacity of 4700mAh, which can apparently last for two long days. Plus, you get 30W wired fast charging, which can get your device fully charged in 63 minutes.

POCO F2 Pro – Display and Camera

The Poco F2 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch full-screen AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 92.7% screen to body ratio. The display shines bright with a 1200 nits max brightness. Poco also claims that the phone has a 360 degree ambient light sensor, which can apparently detect light all around you. And, with HDR10+  and Widevine L1 certification, you’ve got all the bases covered. Except for one and that is the refresh rate. Unfortunately, you only get a 60Hz panel on the Poco F2 Pro. There’s a TUV Rheinland Full Eye Care certification as well.

Additionally, the F2 Pro packs an in-display fingerprint sensor. As for the software, you get the Android 10 OS Poco Launcher 2.0 interface. P.S. if you are not a Poco user, you can still sample this launcher by downloading it from the Play Store.

The phone offers Corning Gorilla Glass 5 support on the front and back. There is also support for NFC and IR blaster, and you get a headphone jack as well, which is great considering it is a rarity on flagships these days. That’s not it though, you also get High-Res audio support for an enhanced audio experience.

The camera setup on the F2 Pro is a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, which is the primary lens in the quadruple rear camera setup on the F2 Pro. The other sensors include a tele-macro lens of 5MP, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 13MP ultra-wide angle with 123-degree FOV. You can also record 8K video on the phone. On the front, it has a 20MP pop-up selfie camera. You can take slow-motion selfies on this camera.

POCO F2 Pro – Pricing and Variants

The new POCO F2 Pro will retail in four colours. The global availability starts from today on Gearbest and AliExpress. It will expand to other e-retailers like Amazon, POCO.net, Shoppe, Lazada, and more soon.
