OPPO Reno5 Pro+ 5G tipped to be in the works, which could be Reno series’s flagship phone this year. OPPO has recently launched its new 5G Reno5 series including — Reno5 5G and the Reno5 Pro 5G. It appears there will be another hardware announcement from the company which could launch a flagship under the newly announced series. Well Known tipster Digital Chat Station, shed some details of the alleged OPPO Reno5 Pro+ smartphone, which could come with a flagship Snapdragon processor.
OPPO Reno5 Pro+ — Tech Specs
According to the tipster, the Reno5 Pro+ will be featuring 6.5-inches FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rates. This is similar to what we have seen on the Pro variant. The leaked image further suggests the Reno5 Pro+ resembles the Reno5 Pro, which follows the Reno5 in design.
The primary difference between both phones could be the processor underneath. The Reno5 Pro equips a Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset, but the upcoming Reno5 Pro+ 5G will be featuring a flagship Snapdragon 865 processor. This makes the Pro+ variant the top tier amongst the Reno5 series lot.
However, there seem to be differences in the optics department as well. Tipster implies that the Reno5 Pro+ 5G features quadruple cameras out of which, we can see a typical 50MP (IMX766) sensor acting as the primary camera, coupled with 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera. There could be another 13MP telephoto and a 2MP macro sensor as well. This is significantly different from the other Reno5 variants, which featured a 64MP primary camera and 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth-sensing camera.
Furthermore, the tipster reveals a 4500mAh battery that powers the upcoming OPPO Reno5 Pro+ 5G smartphone with 65W fast charge support. Do note, since this is a leak, after all, the deets mentioned above are to be taken with a pinch of salt. If the leak is yet to be accurate, it will be interesting to see why OPPO didn’t choose to launch the new flagship smartphone alongside the Reno5 series. This could mean another launch event by the end of this year since the siblings were launched not long ago.
