OPPO Reno Ace with Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC and 65W fast charging announced in China

How crazy can technology be these days? Well, a 65W fast charging technology that can charge a 4000mAh capacity battery in half an hour. That’s a crazy tech, no doubt about it. OPPO has announced its latest Reno Ace in China today with this fast charging technology. Let’s talk about its specifications in brief below. 

OPPO Reno Ace – Specifications

The company has launched a handset in China sporting a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display. It’s an AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, much like OnePlus’s recent flagship, the 7 Pro. Unfortunately, it isn’t a full-screen design, though. There is a waterdrop notch design that invades the full-screen experience. 

Powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus processor, which is the latest Qualcomm flagship chipset in the market. It is accompanied by a different configurations; 8GB/ 12GB RAM and 128GB/256 UFS 3.0 storage. 

Talking about the cameras, it packs a quadruple setup on the rear. Where the primary lens is of 48MP resolution, 8MP ultra-wide lens (116-degree field of view), a 13MP telephoto shooter with 5x hybrid zoom, and a monochrome sensor. The front camera is 16MP resolution. 

As far as the biometric security is concerned, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. Other notable features include NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9 Pie, and Game Boost 2.0 for smoother gaming. 

The crazy tech that we talked about above is the 65W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. It claims zero to 27% charge within just five minutes of charging. And the handset’s 4000mAh battery can be fully charged in just 30 minutes. That’s the fast charging technology on the planet right now. The phone also comes with USB-PD and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge protocols. 

OPPO Reno Ace – Price & Availability 

The new OPPO phone will be available in two colours; Psychedelic purple and starry blue. OPPO Reno Ace will be available for 3199 Yuan (Rs 31,999 approx.) for an 8GB/128GB model. While if you want higher storage, it will be available for 3399 Yuan (Rs 33,999 approx.) for an 8GB/256GB variant. Whereas the 12GB/256GB model will cost you 3799 Yuan, which is Rs 37,999 approximately.
