OPPO R17 Pro with triple rear camera, OIS, and variable aperture teased for China launch

OPPO has a lot going on next week, as the brand is set to release its F9 series in India and R17 series in China. While we have learned the specifications of F9, F9 Pro, and R17 – the R17 Pro has popped up the first time. In a teaser video posted by OPPO official channel on Weibo, the handset maker has showcased its new R series phone in all its glory.

The most astonishing features of the upcoming OPPO R17 Pro is the camera department. From the looks of it, the new OPPO flagship will be sporting a triple rear camera in a vertical fashion. With a dual LED support, the triple rear cameras also believed to be sporting OIS support. Further, there could be a variable aperture system OPPO might be introducing for the first time on its phone.

Talking about the design, expect a gradient colour back with 3D glass design. It shows an S-shaped curve when the light hits. As far as the specifications are concerned, it shall be coming with a 6.3-inch (2280 x 1080 pixel resolution) full-HD+ with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The new OPPO phone is supposed to come with a Gorilla Glass 6 protection, which is the latest standard from Corning.

There could be an- in-display fingerprint sensor since there is no fingerprint sensor on the rear. Further, expect a flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 845 instead of Snapdragon 710/670. As far as the camera details are concerned, we don’t know the resolution that these triple cameras will come with. But OPPO has already confirmed one tiny but significant detail, one of the sensors will offer f/1.5 to f/2.4 variable aperture.
