The Oppo A56 5G has been launched in the smartphone maker’s home country of China. pThe new addition to Oppo’s A-series is similar to its predecessor, the A55 5G in terms of specifications. The Oppo A56 5G also features the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and a large 5,000mAh battery. If we go by the leaks, the phone is likely to arrive in India soon.

The Oppo A56 5G features a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In case you need more storage, you can expand it via a microSD card. Moreover, the dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1 and features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.
In terms of optics, the Oppo A56 5G comes with a dual rear camera setup that comprises a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth-sensing lens with an LED Flash. For selfies and video chats, there is an 8MP front-facing camera. The A56 5G also packs a 5000mAh battery that charges at up to 10W, which is quite slow. Connectivity options include dual-SIM (Nano) slots, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.1, Wi-Fi 5, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, and more.

The solo 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant of the Oppo A56 5G is priced at CNY 1,599 which is roughly Rs 18,800. The phone comes in three colour variants — Black, Purple, and Blue.
