OPPO A53 with punch-hole and 90Hz display coming to India on August 25

OPPO has been one of the major players in the budget segment, with its offerings mainly targeted at the offline market. Earlier, the brand used to launch mostly inferior devices in comparison to the offerings from Redmi or realme. Now, the brand seems to be improving in some areas and trying to provide a better deal. The latest device to incorporate the same is the OPPO A53 which will be launching on the 25th of August in India at 12:30 PM IST.

OPPO A53 Specifications

The OPPO A53 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a punch-hole on the top. There is also support for the 90Hz refresh rate, which is something that has only been offered by Poco and realme under the 20k segment. In terms of performance, the device comes with the Snapdragon 460 processor, which is not the best, but, it can handle less intensive tasks with ease.

In terms of optics, the device features a 16-megapixel primary sensor with two 2 megapixel sensors. As for the selfie snapper, it has a 16-megapixel camera. In terms of battery, the device is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with 18W charging. As for the software, it will be running Android 10 in the form of ColorOS 7.2.

OPPO A53 – Pricing and Availability

The Oppo A53 will soon be launched in India and is featuring a 4+64GB variant. As for the pricing, we do know that the device was recently launched in Indonesia for Rp 2,499,000 (INR 12,700) for the 4+64GB variant. This could be less in India, but only time will be able to tell. As for the colours, there is black colour and a blue colour variant offered to the users.

What are your thoughts on the device? Would you consider buying the same for the 12-13k price segment, where the realme 6i is the best offering with a 90hz display, Helio G90T, and more. Let us know in the comments below.
