Last November, Steve H.McFly (aka OnLeaks) showed the alleged renders of the OnePlus Nord 20, which is a successor to the OnePlus Nord 10 5G released last year at $299 (~Rs 22,800). Not just the renders, the report in collaboration with 91Mobiles also revealed the specifications of the device, which included a 6.43-inch display, a Snapdragon 695 SoC and a 48MP rear camera. And, it’s been a while since we saw any official announcement from the company.

OnePlus Nord 20 — New Renders & Specs
There’s a new update from the OnePlus COO Kinder Liu to PC Mag. The COO has shared some insights, including a new render and has confirmed some specifications. The renders imply and match with the images shared by OnLeaks. The alleged OnePlus Nord 20 sports a new boxy design resembling the recent iPhones featuring squared-off edges. There are triple rear cameras, including two big sensors and a smaller sensor, all flushed into the new striking flat back. OnePlus earlier featured a similar (boxy) design with its infamous OnePlus X phone.
The confirmed specs of the device include a 6.43-inch display that happens to be a 60Hz AMOLED screen as opposed to the 90Hz LCD screen from the predecessor. When asked about omitting the refresh rate, the COO confirmed to PC Mag that the decision had been made favouring an AMOLED screen instead of an LCD at the cost-effective price point, which usually the device comes in.
“The success of the OnePlus Nord series has surpassed our highest expectations,” says OnePlus COO Kinder Liu.
Liu further suggests that the AMOLED measures 6.4-inches and comes with a Full HD+ resolution. He also implies that it would offer low power consumption, better contrast, more vivid colours, and a wide colour gamut than what the existing competition provides in the US. The screen also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, for authentication.
The report’s other notable specs of the OnePlus Nord 20 suggest a Snapdragon 695 SoC, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The device would ship with Oxygen OS 11, and for the first time, it would also support SuperVOOC Fast Charging.
