While OnePlus is riding high on the success of the OnePlus 7T, the company is already working on the OnePlus 8 Pro as well. We’ve known for a while that the device has been tipped to feature a punch-hole camera display. However, new info has arrived about the kind of camera setup the device could sport at the rear side. Let’s take a look.
OnePlus 8 Pro quad-camera setup renders
New leaks have surfaced that showcase the alleged design of the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro. As you can see in the images below, the device will feature a triple camera setup similar to the OnePlus 7/7T Pro. However, there’s an additional cutout on the left side of the camera section. This is rumored to house a 3D ToF (Time of Flight) sensor. While the sensor could have extra benefits as well in the future, as of now, ToF sensors are used to accurately measure the depth of field and hence create a more realistic bokeh effect.
Apart from the rear camera setup, we also have information about the selfie cameras. The leaks suggest that there would be two variants of the device; with either a single or a dual selfie camera setup. Chances are that they could turn out to be the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro respectively. Residing above the display would be a long earpiece.
OnePlus 8 Pro launch date and availability
As of now, there is no word on when the new device from OnePlus would be launched. With Qualcomm yet to announce a new Snapdragon SoC, it could be some time before we even start hearing about the launch date. Apart from the leaks above, the OnePlus 8 series is also touted to come with a 120Hz refresh rate display and wireless charging. While those are good things to hope, we will have to wait till the actual launch to see what the new device from OnePlus brings. As always, stay tuned to Mr. Phone to get notified of all the latest buzz in the smartphone world.
