OnePlus’ latest flagship, the OnePlus 6T, has been earning great reviews throughout. The device, despite its flaws and its ommissions, has been loved by the user community. Having already launched the Thunder Purple variant earlier, the company also announced its partnership with McLaren. It is likely that OnePlus will soon launch a OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. However, not everyone is so happy with the device. In fact, users have reported of a various issue plaguing their OnePlus 6T’s display.
OnePlus 6T static lines on the display
As reported by a handful of users on the OnePlus Forums, the OnePlus 6T seems to exhibit a weird issue with the display. The display happens to show static lines running across the length of the display vertically. The static line is shown to be a pulse of bright colors. You can see it in action in the video below:
OnePlus 6T root cause unknown and no fix yet
As of now, the main cause of the static lines cannot be deduced. Users are saying it occurs more often on the lock screen while using either OnePlus’ face recognition or the in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone.
What’s worse is that since the cause is unknown, it’s even harder to find a solution for this. Reports suggest that it is not limited to a certain model, and even a factory reset can’t fix the issue.
We at Mr. Phone haven’t yet faced any such issues on our review unit. However, if you happen to face any such issue on your OnePlus 6T, make sure to leave a comment below. Also, we’ll update this story as and when OnePlus responds, so stay tuned for that.
