OnePlus 5T is the hottest topic on the internet right now and every day, we come across a new leak, rumor or tease. We informed you about Pete Lau’s tweet in which he dropped a subtle hint on the price. A new leak suggests that the price of OnePlus 5T (64 GB storage + 6 GB RAM) will be INR 32,999/-. The other variant with an alleged 128 GB storage will cost you INR 37,999/-.
The most interesting aspect of this leak is that it shows that the upcoming flagship phone will carry the same price tag as its predecessor. When Pete Lau mentioned about the hike in smartphone prices, most of the websites concluded that the OnePlus 5T will cost more than its predecessor. To people’s relief, the device allegedly has the same price since the 64 GB variant of OnePlus 5 was placed at INR 32,999/- and the 128 GB variant had INR 37,999/- price tag.
According to numerous leaks and rumors, OnePlus 5T will feature a 6.01″ Full HD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The resolution paves the way for the device to carry the trending 18:9 aspect ratio and this is a major (and only) upgrade in the upcoming phone.
Apart from the bigger display and aspect ratio, the specifications of the OnePlus 5T would be similar to the OnePlus 5. The phone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm processor, that is the Snapdragon 835. The battery is likely to be the same at 3,300mAh and the camera setup is expected to be identical as well. The dual rear cameras will have 16 MP + 20 MP sensors and the selfie shooter will have a 16-megapixel camera sensor.
As you already know (if you’re an avid reader of our website), the OnePlus 5T will be an Amazon exclusive in India. The launch in New York is supposed to be held on November 16 but you can livestream it on the official website of OnePlus and a few other multiplexes. Amazon will start the Flash Sale for the OnePlus 5T on November 21 at 4:30 p.m. IST and the shipments will start from November 28 in India.
Should you take these prices seriously? Well, that’s a dicey question. If we look at Pete Lau’s tweet in which he talked about smartphone prices increasing at a higher rate than house prices in China, we are somewhat sure of an increase in the price of OnePlus 5T. Also, the company has a record of increasing the cost of its flagship phones, as happened in the case of OnePlus 3T.
We would advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt because while some rumors do turn out to be true, the others subject us to deviations!
