OnePlus 3 and 3T receive OnePlus 5’s face unlock feature in the latest OxygenOS beta update

OnePlus 3 gets Face Unlock

If you are a OnePlus 3/3T user, its time for you to rejoice. As promised, OnePlus is bringing Face Unlock feature to the older OnePlus 3 and 3T through the latest beta update.

The update started hitting OnePlus 3/3T smartphone under OnePlus’ open beta programme earlier today. If you are in the stable version, you might have to wait a little longer for getting the Face Unlock feature.

Open beta build number 30 (for OnePlus 3) and 21 (for OnePlus 3T) bring a slew of changes apart from the face unlock including the launcher update to version 2.3 and OnePlus Switch application which allows easy transfer of contacts, messages, photos, etc from your old smartphone to the new one. The update also brings support for Airtel VoLTE in India. For full changelog, check out the screenshot below.

Carl Pei had announced the arrival of the Face Unlock feature to the phones recently.
