To describe it in a sentence, the Nubia V18 is an affordable Nubia N3 with an attractive body and smaller battery. The handset is a full metal body device with a rear fingerprint sensor and silver curved antenna lines that stay on the far edges. The handset has a physical dedicated mute button among other distinguished features. Nubia’s branding and the signature red accent also make their way to the device. It also has micro USB for charging.

Nubia V18 Specifications

The handset is fitted with a 6.01-inch Full-HD+ display and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it harbours a Snapdragon 625 chip that we have become too familiar with. It is also the same chip that is inside the Nubia N3. The rear has a single 13MP camera even if it appears to be a dual lens setup. It only appears such because of the LED flash next to it. The camera is backed by AI for beauty and NeoVision 7.0. The selfie shooter is an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

Apart from the camera, there is an AI element in other aspects of the UI. There’s an assistant that can do some basic stuff like taking notes and setting reminders. The handset although still runs on Android Nougat based flavoured by Nubia UI 5.1.

Even though the Nubia V18 has a smaller 4000mAh battery compared to the Nubia N3, it isn’t small by current industry standards. The battery is also helped by NeoPower 3.0 which is Nubia’s proprietary fast charging technology.
