HMD Global-backed Nokia has now sent out press invites for a launch event on April 4, 2018, in New Delhi. Even though the invite doesn’t clearly state which product will be launched at the event, it is believed that the brand might launch a Nokia 6 (2018), or Nokia 7 Plus, or even the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is by far the best offering of the company in 2018, so far. The curved display handset was first showcased at MWC 2018. The company said at that time that it will bring all the launched handsets in India in April. So, it wouldn’t be a surprise if all the devices would be introduced.

Nokia has already launched the Nokia 1 which is an Android Go phone in India priced Rs 5,499. The Nokia 6 (2018) is a refresh of last year’s Nokia 6. It is mostly a mid-range category device. It features a Snapdragon 630 SoC, 3GB/4GB of RAM, and options of 32GB/64GB of storage. The Nokia 6 houses a 16MP single rear camera and an 8MP front selfie shooter.
The 7 Plus is a step up from the Nokia 6 (2018). It has a better Snapdragon 660, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. It also boasts a more modern 6.0-inch Full-HD+ display as compared to the 8 Sirocco.
Finally, the 8 Sirocco is the flagship grade offering with a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The display is a curved panel measuring 5.5-inches and bearing a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Both the aforementioned devices sport similar camera setups. At the back, a 12MP + 13MP Zeiss-branded shooters. However, the Nokia 7 Plus seems to be a more able selfie snapper with a 16MP lens as compared to the 5MP snapper of the Sirocco. All Nokia handsets interestingly run vanilla Android being part of the Android One program.
