If you’re a smartphone enthusiast then you probably know that the upcoming week will be a proper fan fest for Android users. Major manufacturers like Samsung are polishing their top brass to showcase it on the international stage. Finnish brand Nokia, now backed by HMD Global will also demo its own offerings. And there will be more than one likely. Those include the Nokia 1, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 9/8 Sirocco.
However, we recently heard about a Penta lens smartphone that was being designed by Nokia known as the Nokia 10. But, a new report suggests that it will be called Nokia 8 Pro. According to sources, the Nokia 8 Pro will now bear the new Penta-lens camera module with rotating zoom camera tech. The “Pro” in the camera is because of the high-end camera. Moreover, the same source also says that it will be equipped with the Snapdragon 845 SoC.
A leaked sketch reveals many elements of the alleged device. Put side by side with the Nokia 9, it has a big circular camera module with a fingerprint beneath it. It is also tipped to sport the elegant metal-glass design of the Nokia 9/8 Sirocco.
Note that the “Nokia 8 Pro” nomenclature might change in the future as companies do change their product names before launch. If this report is correct then this device might arrive in markets in August or September.
This device should not be confused with the Nokia 8 Sirocco which is likely to be seen at MWC. On the other hand, the Nokia 8 Pro might not.
