Now stream Netflix in India on a mobile device at just Rs 199 per month

Netflix Mobile Only - Feature

Netflix, the online streaming service has officially launched its mobile-only plan in India. Adding to its existing basic, standard, and premium plans. This is the fourth plan that is specifically launched in India. We may see the expansion of this plan in other countries. But there was a specific reason to roll-out this mobile-only plan in India first. We will talk about that below.

Netflix streaming at just Rs 199 – Should you get on to this bandwagon?

We don’t know should you, but we definitely know that it will now cost you lesser. Starting at just Rs 199 per month, Netflix would be now available for streaming on your mobile/tablet. Offering one concurrent streaming at a time and streaming in Standard Definition (SD). This plan is created for first-time users or who just wants to use the service on their mobile handset only.

“Our members in India watch more on their mobiles than members anywhere else in the world-  and they love to download our shows and films. We believe this new plan will make Netflix even more accessible and better suit people who like to watch on their smartphones and tablets—both on the go and at home,” said Ajay Arora, Director, Product Innovation, Netflix.

And that’s the reason for the streaming service to introduce this mobile-only plan in India. In the initial test phase, the mobile-only plan was rolled out quietly for Rs 250 per month. But it looks like the brand heard the feedback from its customer base in India, which is ever increasing.
