Motorola One and One Power Android phones are now official


Motorola has been long due to release its much rumoured Android One smartphones. The brand has finally made it official, that too without any announcement. The long-time fandom of Motorola has been waiting for the brand to introduce an Android One handset. Now they’ve got two! Talk about asking less and getting more. Let’s briefly talk about the specifications of the new One and One Power smartphones.

Motorola One Specs

Sporting a 5.9-inch HD+ resolution display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, it is the first Moto phone with a notch display design. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, which is a two-year-old chipset. It is accompanied by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Note that the storage can be expanded via microSD card slot.

As far as the camera department is concerned, it will be coming with a dual rear camera setup. Where the primary lens would be of 13MP f/2.0 and second lens will pack a 2MP f/2.4 resolution sensor. On the front, you’d see an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone will be running on a 3000 mAh capacity battery. There are a USB Type-C port and fingerprint sensor on the rear.

Motorola One Power Specs

This is the bigger sibling and sports better processor and a huge battery life compared to its smaller sibling. Talking about the screen, it also sports a notch display, but of a better full-HD+ resolution. The 6.2-inch display you see is LCD. The smartphone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 636 processor, which is accompanied by Adreno 509 GPU.

The camera department consists of a dual rear camera setup. Where one lens is of 16MP and other one is of 5MP, the brand hasn’t shared the aperture size of these lenses. The front camera is of 8MP. The handset would be running on the Android Oreo stock UI. All this is powered by a large 4850mAh capacity battery which supports Motorola’s TurboPower fast charging.

As far as the pricing of the Moto One is concerned, it will be retailing in Europe for roughly Rs 25,000 (299 Euro). Further, this handset will be available for purchase in the coming months in other regions including Latin America and Asia Pacific countries. What’s quite interesting is that the Motorola One Power is coming to India in October. The pricing of the handset is not shared, but it shall compete with the handsets from Xiaomi and Nokia.
