Moto X Pure (2015) to receive Android 7.0 Nougat

In March 2017 there were multiple rumours that Motorola will roll out Android 7.0 Nougat to Moto X pure edition in the United States. Recently Motorola had sent invites to people to participate in a soak test where they would receive feedback on the software.

Many Moto X Pure users in the US have posted that they have started receiving the update. The Moto X has a 21 MP back camera and a 5 MP front camera with a 5.7-inch display with a light sensor, proximity sensor, and a scratch resistant glass. The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 MSM8992 and is available in three colours. They are Black, Gray, and White with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. With a non-removable battery of 3,000 mAh and 64 GB storage expandable up to 128 GB. 

The camera has face detection. Geo-tagging, video calling, touch to focus, phase detection, back-illuminated sensor, digital zoom, self-timer, and digital image stabilizer. 

The smartphone was launched in July 2015 and it is good to know that even if a handset is two years old, the company is still rolling out updates like Android Nougat.
