Display & Design
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro features a 6.7-inches display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is a 10-bit OLED display that supports DC-Dimming, utilises DCI-P3 colour space, and is HDR10+ certified. The OLED display comes with Full HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 88.5% screen to body ratio.
The Edge 30 Pro comes with an IP52 rated water repellent design, which has 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the rear and a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection with anti-fingerprint coating on the front. The device weighs 196 grams and measures 8.79mm in thickness.
Hardware
The Motorola Edge 30 Pro is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, making it one of the fewest devices in the country with the fastest chipset, after the Galaxy S22 series the iQOO 9 Pro. The Edge 30 Pro is accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication, supports Face Unlock, and the device further comes with ThinkShield mobile security. The Motorola Edge 30 Pro ships with Android 12 out of the box on the software side of things.
Battery
There is a decent 4800mAh battery powering the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. It comes with Motorola’s 68W Turbo Charging support, 15W wireless charging support, and 5W wireless power-sharing support.
Cameras
There is a triple rear camera system on the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. That includes a 1/1.5″ 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS, accompanied with another 50MP ultra-wide lens, which also supports Macro Vision and has an f/2.2 aperture. And there is a 2MP Depth Camera as well. The rear cameras also support 8K UHD recording at 24fps.
