Mi QLED TV 4K with Quantum Dot Display and HDR10+ support to launch in India on December 16


Xiaomi is introducing the new Mi QLED TV 4K in the country this month. The new 4K series could be the new premium series set to arrive in India on December 16th. The company has announced the launch date and a few key features to expect from the new TV series on its website.

Mi QLED TV 4K — Details

Mi QLED TV, as the name suggests, is an LED TV that features Quantum dot display technology. This will be the first TV from Xiaomi featuring this new display tech for India because Xiaomi has been selling Quantum dot TVs in China for quite a while now. The latest Mi TV 5 and 5 Pro series especially comes with Quantum dot display, out of which, one might come to India dubbed as Mi QLED TV 4K in India.

The company has announced this new TV will be launching at noon on December 16th, likely through an online only event, like the past Xiaomi events this year. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has put up the Mi QLED TV 4K listing on its website — giving us a glimpse of what all features it packs in.

Apart from the Quantum dot technology, the display supports 4K resolution, equips HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. Since it is a premium TV from the company, it also brings Dolby Audio with DTS-HD support.

It will feature Xiaomi’s latest PatchWall operating system on the UI front, with support for apps including — Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, ZeeTV, YouTube, and more. Besides, it features universal search mode, Kids mode, and also Live channels support. Further, the operating system also brings smart recommendation support, which will likely be based on your watch history.

The listing further indicates the new QLED TV featuring HDMI 2.1 support, eARC enabled sockets, ALLM (auto low latency mode for gaming), and AV1 for OTT streaming. Well, that’s all that Xiaomi has revealed about the new upcoming QLED TV 4K on December 16th.
