Mi Mix 3 - Mi Note 4

There are some really cool new smartphones waiting to be unveiled in October. Many of these will be on the land of the Great Wall. Amongst them is the Mi Mix 3 as well. We know for sure that the third-gen bezel-less flagship will launch sometime in October, as was stated by the company’s president, Lin Bin a few months back. When will it happen in October? There’s nothing official yet but a new leak has unearthed a poster from Weibo that suggests the launch will be on October 15th.

The Mi Mix 3 poster mentions Nanjing Olympics Sports Centre as the venue of the launch. The poster also shows a device which doesn’t quite reveal anything about the handset. Needless to say, this is all we can extract from the current leak. However, we do know a lot more about the design of the handset which is our primary reason for excitement.

The Mi Mix 3 was showcased in an HD render at MWC by Xiaomi and since then, it has been confirmed that the handset will join the likes of the OPPO Find X, Vivo Nex in a slider-camera design. Whether that will be mechanical or manual is still not confirmed. Regardless, this will enable a very high screen-to-body ratio on the handset.

As for specs, we expect the best of this year to be fitted inside the chassis of the latest bezel-less beauty of Xiaomi. Leaks suggest pricing will start at $510. Since Xiaomi’s President himself has confirmed an October launch, we can be sure that we will see a debut soon. It’s only a matter of time.
