The long-awaited Android 8.0 Oreo update has started hitting the Mi A1. Xiaomi’s tweet has confirmed that the company intends to end this year with an O. The phone is quite popular with the masses and this news does end the year with a positive note for the Mi A1 users.

Last week, we informed you about the beta build of Android Oreo which was rolled out to a few users. The build saw a super fast charging time of 92 minutes rather than the earlier one of two hours. The update is 1GB in size and has also brought the December security patch with it.

With the stable Android Oreo version rolling out, we will be able to see some exclusive features of the latest OS including notification dots, Night Light Mode, Picture-in-Picture mode among the others.

The company has taken time to mention that the update will only roll out to the Mi A1 units which have updated to the latest Android 7.1.2. Are you using the Mi A1? Have you received the update?
