Xiaomi Mi A1 has been performing really well and the company is focussing extensively on increasing its sales through permanent price cut and other measures. The latest news around the Mi A1 suggests that it is getting the beta update for Android 8.0 Oreo soon! Some users have been invited to test the beta version of Android Oreo on their Mi A1 units and the rest of the units are expected to receive it soon.
The beta update will bring many interesting additions to the phone like the support for fast charging. The dual rear cameras are also set to receive some optimizations in terms of performance with this update. Other improvements include smoother animations, lesser app load time, redesigned apps like Settings, adaptive icons, Autofill API and Picture-in-Picture!
Coming back to the fast charging, the report by Telecomtalk suggests that the phone will charge from O percent to 100 percent in 92 minutes. It is interesting to note that earlier, the time needed to fully charge the Mi A1 was two hours. However, you must note that the test was done through OnePlus 5T charger and not Mi A1’s original.
Xiaomi has promised that all its devices will run Android 8.0 Oreo by the end of 2017 and if this is so, the beta update should come within this week. The other devices by Xiaomi have been quick to run Android Oreo and we are excited to see Mi A1 joining the league!
