LG’s next smartphone is all set to arrive on May 7. The South Korean smartphone brand has already shared the first look and feel of its upcoming handset in a teaser video earlier. Now, today we have learned about some of its features ahead of the launch revealed by Wireless Power Consortium. Further, a set of official press images have popped up as well, thanks to Ishan Agarwal. Let’s find out what we know so far about the LG Velvet, its new premium-mid range handset for the masses.
LG Velvet – What to expect?
The LG Velvet will be packing support of 10W wireless charging, this information came into highlight when it got listed on the Wireless Power Consortium. It will be sporting a model number LG-G900N, thus giving us a confirmation that it is indeed replacing the LG’s G9 as the flagship smartphone of the brand. Earlier we learned about the processor, it will be powered by a 5G-enabled Snapdragon 765 SoC.
Now today we have learned about its display, battery capacity, and thickness as well. Further, some accessories have been confirmed to arrive for LG Velvet. Sporting a 6.8-inch 20.5:9 aspect ratio display, it will pack a Cinema FullVision screen. For an impressive audio experience, it will be sporting a stereo speaker and artificial intelligence sound.
Design-wise it could be the most interesting LG flagship smartphone after the G5. The aesthetic appeal on this one is strong. And it is said to be a slim phone at 6.8mm thickness. It shall come in four colours Aurora Grey, White, Green & Sunset. All this will be powered by a 4300mAh capacity battery. Any fast charging tech support is unknown for now.
