LG G7 has leaked yet again and this time, it’s official launch date and press renders have been revealed. The company has actually named it the LG G7 ThinQ and we don’t really know why. Apart from this, the phone is likely to arrive in a variety of colours. According to Steve H. on Twitter, the LG flagship will launch on May 2nd. The information has been collected from the community section of LG’s Korean website.
Coming to the leaked renders, the LG G7 ThinQ will have five interesting colour options. You will be able to choose from Aurora Black, Platinum Grey, Raspberry Rose, Moroccan Blue and Moroccan Blue Matte. It is worth mentioning that the phone will primarily launch in the shade of Aurora Black. All the other shades will be country and carrier specific and you can choose them depending on your liking.
Apart from this, the LG G7 ThinQ carries a notch sitting comfortably on a truly bezel-less display. The notch increases the screen-to-body ratio of the device and gives us as much real-estate as possible. The notch houses the front camera and an earpiece speaker. The rear camera setup will be placed vertically and unlike what many of us wanted, it won’t be a triple one. There will only be a dual rear camera setup on the phone. The fingerprint sensor will be placed beneath this setup and the logo of the company will sit at the bottom of the panel.
What is peculiar about the LG G7 ThinQ is the absence of its own branding which was quite common on all LG G devices from the LG G3. On the sides, we can see the volume rockers and a power button. There is an extra fourth button which is also visible in the image and we are speculating it to be the AI assistant launcher. The phone does look impressive and we are waiting eagerly to witness the innovation on this device.
