Lenovo Z5s with in-screen selfie camera and triple rear camera will arrive on December 6

Lenovo Z5s - Feature

Looks like Samsung and Huawei going to be beaten at the hands of Lenovo. The Chinese smartphone maker could be introducing its in-screen selfie camera smartphone ahead both of these manufacturers. The company has scheduled an event on the December 6 as per a poster reveal on Weibo, China’s microblogging platform. And it would be allegedly dubbed as the Lenovo Z5s.

After the introduction of the notch design, which has been popularised by iPhone X’s introduction more than a year ago. The manufacturers could finally move to a new trend. A circular cutout design. No, it’s not a waterdrop, dewdrop or any kind of drop design. But rather an in-display technology that could mean a selfie camera might be embedded inside the display. This will allow the smartphone to achieve the true bezel-less design, without compromising on the selfie camera experience.

Lenovo Z5s: A different route to bezel-less design

Unlike Huawei’s Nova 4 and Samsung’s Galaxy A8s, the upcoming Lenovo Z5s won’t be sporting a circular cutout on the top left corner, but rather on the top centre position. And this introduction of a potentially “notch-free” design could mean better fun screen experience to users. Further, more brands could be introducing this design next year.

As far as the Lenovo Z5s specifications are concerned, we may see an all-new Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 675, an upgrade to the 670. It could be running on the Android 8.1 Oreo-based ZUI 10. There is no word on the RAM and storage it may store. The display size could be at 6.3-inch and a full-HD+ resolution with perhaps a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Further, expect a triple rear camera setup as per the leak of the TENAA listing. All this could be powered by a 3210mAh capacity battery.
