Lenovo has launched its S5 Pro smartphone in China today. The phone was leaked a few days ago and the leaks proved to be true indeed. The mid-range smartphone will sell for CNY 1,298 (Rs 13,000 approx) and will be available from October 23. The Lenovo S5 Pro comes in three colour options – Black, Blue and Gold.
Lenovo S5 Pro: specifications
The phone comes with a 6.18-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2246p. The aspect ratio of the display is 18.7:9 and thanks to the notch, the device is almost bezel-less. Coming to its performance, the Lenovo S5 Pro carries the respectable Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of ROM. Well, that is a lot of RAM on a mid-range phone. Isn’t it? The internal storage, on the other hand, can be expanded by up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Further, this mid-range offering by Lenovo has a dual rear and front cameras. The main setup on the back includes 20MP + 12MP sensors with an aperture of f/1.8 and f/2.6, respectively. The selfie snappers carry a 20MP + 8MP setup and they come with advanced features like IR Face Unlock and Portrait Mode. The rear cameras have 2x loss-less zoom and some interesting AI features as well. An LED Flash is also present at the bottom of the vertical rear dual camera setup and a fingerprint sensor is placed adjacent to it.
Battery-wise, the Lenovo S5 Pro has 3500mAh worth of juice and it supports 18W Fast Charging. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with ZUI 5.0 on the top. The connectivity options on the phone include a support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
