Lenovo is all set to announce its gaming-focused smartphone under its Legion branding. Late last year we learned about the separate Legion branding being set up by the company on channels likes Weibo. Fast-forwarding today, we now have new official information on this purported gaming handset. But it’s interesting to note that it contradicts what we knew earlier about the phone. Lenovo Legion Gaming smartphone – What to expect?
Today, the brand has released a new poster stating the staggering 90W fast charging support on the upcoming product. The poster clearly states 90W, with a character, who looks like straight from the DC comics, The Flash. Talking about the details that matter, we may likely see a Legion smartphone with massive charging speed. Further, it is more likely to offer a USB Power Delivery 3.0 charging protocol. It would mean that users will only able to utilise the 90W fast charging with its proprietary charger.
This poster contradicts the information earlier shared by the brand. Lenovo earlier shared that its new Legion gaming phone will pack a 55W fast charging. Also, we learned that it will be packing a Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G connectivity support. It is possible that after OPPO releasing its 65W fast charging on the Oppo Reno Ace. The company changed it’s planned and is going after to be crowned as the phone with the highest fast charging wattage support.
As for other specifications, it could also pack a high refresh rate, pertaining to the gaming requirements. Further, expect a large capacity battery life, and a triple rear cameras setup, stereo speakers, and game trigger as seen on most gaming phones these days.
