Smartphone Gaming is something that has caught the attention of brands recently. Be it the Asus ROG Phone II, Nubia Redmi Magic 3S or the Xiaomi BlackShark 2, companies have started investing heavily in introducing phones with great gaming capabilities. Lenovo seems to be the next to step into the Smartphone Gaming bandwagon with its Legion brand.

Is there a Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone Coming?

The company has recently set up a Weibo account targeting the gaming phones under Legion branding. The account is verified and is owned by Lenovo Mobile Communications Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd. The account will likely be used for sharing news articles and details about the upcoming gaming phone from Lenovo. But till now, there’s no post shared on the account regarding the phone.

But whatever posts and videos have been shared till now, the launch of a gaming smartphone seems eminent. It seems like the company wished to follow the footsteps of Asus by taking advantage of the expertise of its gaming subsidiary.

Lenovo did announce back in July that the company will indeed launch a phone running on Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. This announcement generated a buzz that we might get to see a gaming phone. But that is yet to materialize. Later on, the company also said that it will launch a phone running on Snapdragon 865. But that also hasn’t happened yet.

The recent phone launched by the company was the Z6 Pro running on the Snapdragon 855 SoC. The phone features a 48MP Quad Camera setup and a 32MP Selfie Camera. The phone is currently available on Flipkart at a price of Rs.29,999.
