iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Legend are reportedly set to launch in India as per a recent report by 91mobiles. The two phones were launched in China in August. The report further claims that iQOO is set to bring the new phones to India shortly, based on the success of the iQOO 7 series in the country. The phones are expected to have similar specifications as the Chinese variants.

The report by 91Mobiles cites that the iQOO 8 Pro is likely to launch as the iQOO 8 Legend in the Indian market. iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Legend will reportedly launch either later this month or in early November. The exact date is not known but the report says that the brand is likely to start teasing the phones and reveal the launch date in the coming days.

iQOO 8 Expected Specifications

The vanilla iQOO 8 will sport a 6.56-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will reportedly run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with upto 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of dimensions, the iQOO 8 is tipped to be 8.6mm thick and weighs 199 grams. The smartphone runs on Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0 and features an in-display fingerprint sensor along with face unlock for authentication.

Talking about optics, the iQOO 8 features a triple rear camera setup featuring a 48MP primary camera based on the Sony IMX598 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP portrait camera as well. There is a 16MP snapper for video chats and selfies. It would likely come with a 4350mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port.

The iQOO 8 Legend will likely come with a 6.78-inch 2K+ Samsung E5 AMOLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate and 517ppi pixel density. The device features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, along with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The display is also tipped to be Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certified. The phone which runs on Android 11 based OriginOS 1.0, will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.

On the camera front, iQOO 8 Legend features a triple-lens setup at the rear comprising a 50MP Sony IMX766V main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP portrait camera. For selfies, it comes with a 16MP front camera. When it comes to battery and charging, the device would feature a 4500mAh battery with 120W fast charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging with compatible devices. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port.
