Huawei Watch GT 2 is all set to arrive in India on December 5

Huawei is all set to launch its new edition of the smartwatch. Expect Huawei to unveil its second-generation Watch GT 2 on December 5. The new Huawei Watch is going to come in two variants; 42mm and 46mm dial sizes. Further, the company claims up to 30 hours f battery life on its new upcoming smartwatch.

Huawei Watch GT 2 Features – What to expect? 

Boasting its new chipset, the Huawei Watch GT 2 will be powered by a Kirin A1, first in its series. This proprietary processor is developed to power wearables. As far as the chipset is concerned, it comes with an advanced Bluetooth processing unit. There is a powerful audio processing unit and an ultra-low power consumption unit, plus a separate power management unit. These all unit work in tandem to bring best in class performance on the Watch GT 2. 

Huawei teases that its GT 2 Watch will support both wireless audio devices and smartwatches. The new watch will be sporting a 1.39-inch OLED display with a 454 x 454-pixel resolution display, it’s for the 46mm watch. Whereas the 42mm watch will be offering a 1.2-inch OLED display with 390 x 390-pixel resolution. 

Speaking of durability, it offers 5ATM water resistance. What it means is that it can withstand water resistance at a depth of 50 meters for up to 10 minutes at a time. There are many connectivity options including Bluetooth 5.1v and in-built GPS. Other highlighting features include optical heart rate sensors, fitness tracking, and stress monitoring features. 

Huawei Watch GT 2 – Battery Life

It comes with the claim of 30 hours of battery life while using GPS mode. Whereas if the GPS mode is off, the typical day battery life is said to be up to 2 Weeks for 46mm, and 1-week fo 42mm mode. Note that it has a built-in mic and speaker, which allows you to enjoy calls from your wrist as long as the distance with the phone is within 150 meters. 

Coming to the fitness activities, the Watch GT 2 offers 15 workout mode. The list includes running, walking, hiking, cycling, swimming, gym machines, free-weight training, and more. As far as the compatibility goes, it has iOS and Android compatibility with devices running, versions 9.0 and 4.4 and above, respectively.
