
Huawei is bringing some muscles back to its smartphones. The Chinese handset maker has announced on its twitter handle that its popular smartphones would be receiving the next major Android update. Huawei has gone ahead and made sure that its current popular handsets will be receiving the Android Q.

The statement quotes, Huawei devices like P30, P30 Pro, and Mate 20 Pro to be among the devices receiving Android Q update. The handset maker has also said that its Mate 20 Pro is already under the Beta Developer program for Android Q. That said, the below list of devices are said to confidently receive the Android Q update.

Huawei further quotes that its existing portfolio would be receiving all the security updates. This is something we knew earlier as soon as the brand was banned by the US and Google announced the removal of its Android license to the brand. So, if you’re an existing user, you may not have to worry about losing Google Play Store access.

The company is just trying to ensure its existing user base that they won’t be left hanging. That’s a reassurance brand would have to give periodically. Note that the Android Q update will bring a host of new features including system-wide Dark mode.
Plus, an improved location data control estimated remaining battery life in the notification panel. And the Digital Wellbeing timers in the app switcher. There would be new color themes set for the system. These are some host of features that are expected to arrive on Huawei custom interface.
