Huawei announces its retail expansion in India to strengthen its presence

Huawei brings in a strategic partnership with an unnamed partner, who is said to expand the company’s presence across the nation. India is the world’s second-largest market for smartphone makers. And this interesting development by Huawei is said to help the brand reach a broader audience. Let’s learn more about this Huawei retail expansion plan below. 

Huawei retail expansion announced

The Chinese conglomerate has officially announced its commitment to India as it looks at the largest retail expansion. The Huawei Consumer Business Group in India has gone in strategic partnership with industry player/s, it seems. 

Connecting the dots, we feel this may be a partnership with Micromax. According to a report popped up on The Mobile Indian. Stating that Huawei and Micromax have gone in an exclusive deal. This unusual partnership between two brands owning smartphone businesses. 

Micromax is believed to be taking care of the out reach strategy, targeting the customers for Huawei smartphone business. While the Huawei already has a presence as far as online channels and offline channels are concerned. But this strategic partnership is further believed to extend as a billing partner as well. Meaning Micromax could be managing the organised, open market, and online channels for the Chinese brand. 

Announcing the partnership Mr. Tornado Pan, Country Head (Huawei Brand) Consumer Business Group, Huawei India said “Since our very entry into the Indian market, the brand has been witnessing overwhelming response from all section of consumers. With an aim to be present where our consumers are, we plan to focus on a robust offline distribution network catering to the needs of consumers in urban as well as the rural regions of the country and to make them experience the innovative technology that has won the hearts of customers’ world over.”

Note under a phased expansion plan, the idea is to be present across the country starting from cities mentioned. “Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Kolkata, and Jaipur”. These cities will be targeted amongst others.
