Huawei could launch a 55-inch smart TV under its Honor brand; report

The smartphone TV market isn’t huge, but its promising enough that after the rumours of OnePlus TV last year, Huawei seems to be planning to get into the smart TV business. Xiaomi, on the other hand, could be called as an established player, may it be its home country or India.

Huawei or Honor Smart TV: could be real!

According to a report published on GizmoChina, Huawei Smart TV or Honor Smart TV could be a real thing. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the brand reveal its official plan soon because OnePlus, on the other hand, had made it official that it is going to enter into the smart Television business. 

The only detail that is currently out about the alleged Huawei/Honor Smart TV is that it could be a 55-inch television. The report states that it isn’t the first time that a rumour has Popped up online regarding the smart TV from the conglomerate. 

The previous reports suggested that there could be two smart TV series – one under Honor brand and second under Huawei AI Window. The naming of later suggests that Huawei brand Smart TVs could offer some sort of artificial intelligence technology. 

It is known for a fact that the company is working on an AI-based voice assistant for the global market. However, it is reportedly not ready. In case if it’s not ready until the Smart TV arrives, we may see Google or Amazon’s Alexa assistant powering the TV for voice commands. Because there can always be an OTA update to introduce any feature addition.
