HTC U12 Life official teaser out, launches on August 30

HTC has just teased a new device product coming on August 30th via a poster on its Twitter handle today. And if the lines – “Something new for U – 30.08.18 and “Beauty and power meet on August 30th 2018,” don’t mean HTC U12 Life then we don’t know what it means.

As far as the device itself is concerned, we’re really running on an empty tank here. Even rumours regarding the HTC U12 Life have been scarce but we’ll do our best to fill you in with what we know.

The handset will probably be a mid-ranger that succeeds the HTC U11 Life. For the design part, a schematic leaked earlier this month showed a back like the Google Pixel. Also, a fingerprint reader, a vertical camera setup like the Redmi Note 5 Pro was seen on the schematic leaked on a Dutch website.

As for the specifications, speculation is that it will be a Snapdragon 636-powered phone. That’s a very good processor as long as the price is reasonable which HTC is not known for. The HTC U12 Life could be endowed with a 6.0-inch Full-HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. So far so good. It could also be fitted with a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage module with expandability options.

The cameras on the U12 Life are said to be of a dual nature at the back. A 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP sensor complete the composition while the front shots would be taken care of with a 13MP sensor. Also, considering the HTC U11 Life is IP67 water resistant, there is a good chance the U12 Life will also be one. If all these rumours hold any water then we should see a 3,600mAh battery rounding the device up.
