Honor View 20 with Kirin 980 SoC rumoured to be priced at Rs 35,999; report

Honor View 20 1

Honor has been getting a lot of attention for its new flagship smartphone, the Honor View 20. Primarily because of the punch-hole display. The company is all set to introduce this phone in India on January 29. A new report popped up on 91Mobiles suggests the company would be introducing it at Rs 35,999. If that’s the case, it may be competing directly with the OnePlus 6T as it is priced just below the starting variant of the phone.

The Chinese handset maker could introduce two variants of its Honor View 20, the Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue. The Indian audience is wondering a lot about this new phone from the house of Honor. The brand recently unveiled it globally at an event in Paris, France. Now the company is all set to unveil its latest smartphone in India. Let’s talk about the Honor View 20 specification below.

Honor View 20 specs

The new Honor handset ships with the in-house Kirin 980 SoC, which is based on the 7nm process and said to be one of the fastest chipsets in the market right now. The View 20 sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ resolution display, which comes with a punch-hole display design. Interestingly, the company has opted for this new design instead of the notch. Saying goodbye to the notch!

Equipped with tech features like NPU, GPU Turbo 2.0 and liquid cooling, this new Honor View 20 shows off a host of cutting-edge technology. Talking about the cutting edge cut, the brand has introduced a 48MP AI dual rear camera setup, which is first in the industry. While the brands like Xiaomi have started to include 48MP sensor enabled camera setup, the Honor phone packs a Sony sensor, but not the knock-off Samsung sensor.

Last year, Sony introduced the world’s first 48MP resolution lens, which made it the world’s largest resolution sensor. Samsung quickly followed it with a GM1 sensor, which is supposed to offer 48MP output, but technically it has a 12MP resolution. It merges 4 pixels into one to achieve that output. Talking further about the camera output of Honor View 20, it has a 25MP selfie sensor inside the circular cutout.
