Recently, we talked about Xiaomi coming up with their new smartphone equipped with a 48MP camera. Turns out while they were busy teasing it, Honor actually showcased the camera’s performance. Yes, that’s right. Honor is currently prepping the launch of the Honor View 20 or the Honor V20. Ahead of its launch, the company has shared the camera samples of the device. And boy, are they stunning.

Honor has confirmed that its upcoming flagship will be the Honor View 20 (Honor V20 in China). Under the hood, it will be powered by the latest Kirin 980 chipset, which is already found on the Mate 20 Pro. It will also have an in-display cutout for the front camera. What’s more is that the device will ship with Sony’s IMX586 48MP imaging sensor at the back.
The 48MP sensor also comes with support for four-to-one pixel binning to produce better photos in low-light conditions. As such, the resultant images will come out in a 12MP resolution. However, they would sport much more details. Alongside the announcement of the device name and its sensor, Honor has also shared a couple of images captured using the Honor View 20’s 48MP camera:

The Honor View 20 will be unveiled in China on December 27 by the name of Honor V20. It is rumored to be priced at 2,799 Yuan (~Rs. 29,000). The device will then be globally unveiled in Paris on January 22, 2019. Stay tuned to Mr. Phone for all the updates on everything in the smartphone world.
