Honor Play gets a new Ultraviolet colour for Rs 19,999

The Honor Play is one of the best gaming smartphones under the sub-20k segment in India. The handset is available in Navy Blue, Red, and Midnight Black colours as of now. But today, Honor has released a new Ultraviolet shade for the gaming handset. And no, this is not the gradient colour you’ve been seeing increasingly on many devices. This is a plain Ultraviolet colour. The handset will be available in 4GB + 64GB version starting October 3, 2018. The price doesn’t change and you can get the new colour for the same Rs 19,999 on Amazon India.

The Honor Play has a 6GB + 64GB variant as well which retails for Rs 23,999 but you can’t have that in the Ultraviolet colour. To recall, the Honor Play launched in August was one of the very first phones with GPU Turbo, if not the first. Huawei promised improved performance of up to 40 percent with the new software and the Honor Play didn’t disappoint. The handset comes loaded with a lot of firepower as it holds the flagship Kirin 970 SoC. It has a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ display and a beefy 3,750mAh battery to make it a very good option for that price.

Most recently, Honor has seeded the handset with a 4D Smart Shock feature which gives users stronger vibration than usual. This adds to the immersive gameplay experience. The new update also gives the handset an August security patch to make it more secure. Our Editor-in-Chief at Mr. Phone, Ershad, has made several comparisons of the Honor Play which you can check to understand the capability of the device. Take a look at those articles linked above.
