Honor has launched its three new smartphones today, the Honor 20 Series – Honor 20 Pro, Honor 20, and Honor 20i. Alongside these three smartphones, the brand has also unveiled two new Android tablets in India dubbed as Honor Pad5. They will come in two different display sizes including an 8-inch and a 10.1-inch. We discuss the specifications below briefly.

Talking about the display of the Honor Pad5, it is a 10.1-inches display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. This means the pixel density of the screen is at 224 ppi. It is an IPS panel, which comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen-to-body ratio of the device is at 74.46%. There is an 8-inch variant as well in case you want a smaller tablet. 


As far as the camera department is concerned, it packs a single 5MP rear camera. It comes with a Touch-to-focus Autofocus technology. For selfies, you can make use of the 2.0MP FF front camera.

Hardware and Software

The Honor Pad5 is powered by a Huawei HiSilicon KIRIN 659 chipset, which comes with 8 Cores and clocks at 2.36 GHz. It is accompanied by a 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage capacity. It will be running on the Android 8.0 Oreo. Note that the external storage is expandable. It does come with a fingerprint sensor. As far as the battery life is concerned, its 5100mAh battery juice claims a day’s. Talking about the audio experience, it packs dual-stereo speakers, they are tuned by Harmon Kardon. Note that the 8-inch model comes with Kirin 710 processor and in two configurations – 3GB + 32GB, and 4GB + 64GB.

Honor Pad5 Price in India 

The launch price of the Huawei Honor Pad 5 smartphone is at Rs 15,499 for the 8-inch 3GB + 32GB model, while the 4GB + 64GB model will cost you Rs 17,499. If you are looking to purchase a 10.1-inch display, then you’d have to shell out Rs 16,999 for the 3GB + 32GB model, while Rs 18,999 for 4GB + 64GB model.
