Huawei is paying a lot of attention to its sub-brand Honor. The budget smartphones by the company are causing quite a stir in its home country and India. Honor 8C, the successor to the Honor 7C has been launched in China today. The phone looks quite premium for its price tag as it has a unique gradient finish.
Honor 8C: specifications and features
The Honor 8C has a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1520p. The aspect ratio of the display is 19:9 and it also has a notch on top. There are scarcely any bezels on the device except the bottom as the company’s logo sits there. The device derives its power from the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The Honor 8C comes in two variants – one with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM and the other with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM. The internal memory is expandable by up to 256GB.
Camera-wise, the phone carries a 13MP + 2MP setup on the back with an aperture of f/1.8 and f/2.4, respectively. An LED flash is also placed beneath the vertical dual rear camera setup. The selfie snapper on the phone has an 8MP sensor as well with an aperture of f/2.0 and an LED flash. The device carries a 4000mAh battery capacity which is more than enough for a day of use. It runs EMUI 8.2 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The Honor 8C carries a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel and has a support for Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS.
There are two SIM slots along with a microSD card slot as well. The device comes in four colours – Aurora Blue, Midnight Black, Nebula Purple and Platinum Gold.
