HELM Audio is the new audio accessories brand ventured into the Indian market. The British-American audio accessories maker has debuted in the country through The Audio Store. The international audio brand has launched two audio products — DB12 AAAMP (amplifier) and BOLT DAC/AMP (audio DAC). These new products are said to be featuring MQA, AAA, THX certifications, which are claimed to be bringing studio-quality performance through smartphone/tablet/laptop. Both the amplifier and audio DAC are said to be portable and are said to be working with any 3.5mm wired headphones.
HELM DB12 AAAMP Amplifier
The latest amplifier from HELM is a digital amplifier that has a bass boost in conjunction with THX and AAA technology, which further promises to boost sound from your mobile or gaming device to your respective headphones. Further, the THX’s AAA amplifier claims to deliver high fidelity audio with the lowest distortion amp and linear amplification. The amplifier delivers a maximum volume of +12dB with zero distortion, and also users can independently control the bass boost at +6dB power raise.
On the design front, the HELM DB12 amplifier comes in aluminium housing attached to braided silver cabling. Underneath, it has a rechargeable built-in battery, which promises six to eight hours battery backup on a single charge.
The HELM DB12 AAAMP amplifier costs Rs 16,490 and is exclusively available for sale through The Audio Store.
HELM BOLT Audio DAC
The new audio DAC aims to significantly increase your audio quality since it’s a plug-and-play audio accessory. Users can connect the accessory to smartphone/laptop/tablet through USB Type-C or a regular 3.5mm headphone jack as well. Like the amplifier mentioned above, the DAC/AMP is also MQA, and THX certified. The DAC further is said to be supporting and enhancing MP3, MQA, and other Hi-Res audio playback for your headphones.
The HELM BOLT also features MQA Stream unfolding and HD support for streaming services. The compatibility of devices includes Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows 10 devices as well. HELM suggests the DAC can stream and unfold MQA music at over 8x times the sampling rate of CD. The DAC further acts as a high-end digital-analogue converter for high res FLAC or WAV files, for that matter. It further claims to improve audio quality for streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Prime Music and can hit sampling rates of up to 384kHz for PCM files or sampling frequencies up to 5.6MHz for DSD files.
The HELM BOLT will also be exclusively available through The Audio Store and costs Rs 9,990.
