With the introduction of the Pixel 3a series last year, Google made its fabulous camera technology accessible to more audiences as it introduced an affordable alternative. After the launch of Pixel 4 a couple of months back, it’s about time we hear about an affordable version, the Pixel 4a. Which is what you are going to read about it below.
Google Pixel 4a – What should you expect?
Google Pixel 4a is supposed to introduce a punch-hole design and still rock a single-lens camera on the back. Not to forget the 3.5mm audio jack. The renders leaked by OnLeaks in partnership with 91Mobiles showcase us the handset in complete glory. There’s nothing left to imagine, well, except for the specifications. But first, let’s talk about the design of Pixel 4a.
The most important shift in the design will be the introduction of the punch-hole design, which is not even on the Pixel 4. A thin earpiece is clearly visible on the top, while the bezels will be thick as far as the renders are concerned. At this point, it’s unclear whether if the Pixel 4a will be coming with Project Soli support or not.
The display of the upcoming affordable Pixel could be 5.7-inch or 5.8-inch. It will be a sporting flat display. Coming to the rear, the protruding camera will be housing a single lens, unlike its bigger sibling. While there will be more sensors supporting the camera system, there won’t be any extra camera sensor. Expect a physical fingerprint sensor to rock, even in the age of under-display fingerprint sensors. There will be a big “G” logo.
The handset is believed to come with a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. And that’s enough as far as the design aspect of the phone is concerned. Coming to the specifications of the Pixel 4a, there’s not much out there in terms of the leaks. Which is why we would suggest you hold on to that.
