Google Home Hub, the smart speaker with display launched at $149 (Rs 11,000 approx)

Google Home Hub launched

Google is launching device after device in New York and one of these is the Google Home Hub. While the device leaked almost a month ago, we are still impressed by its sheer prowess. As Rick Osterloh puts it, “For life at home, we designed a smart display so you can hear and see the info you need, and manage your connected home from a single screen.”

Google Home Hub

Google Home Hub: what is it exactly?

The Google Home Hub is powered by the Google Assistant and does all the work of a Google Home device and more. It comes with an Ambient EQ display which can assess the available light and adjust itself. The Google Home Hub can also tell who is speaking to it and then personalize things for you—so you get your playlists, shopping lists and morning routines customised. Basically, the device shows you everything that Google Home devices just speak out loud. This comes in handy for video-streaming, analysing the best route for commutation and for picture albums. On an interesting note, the Google Home Hub can also help you in deciding what to cook for dinner.

Goohle Home Hub supported devices

Also, the Google Home Hub shows you everything that you watch on YouTube. Dog videos, make-up tutorials, trailers and reviews, all are available for watching. You can also download all your favourite apps on the device and honestly, can it even get any better?

The Google Home Hub can also be linked to other Google devices like the Nest Hello. When someone rings your Nest Hello, your Home Hub will automatically show you who is at the door. It let you decide whether or not you want to answer. This feature can actually help in keeping people safe and sound in the safety of their homes. This is not all, as the Google Home Hubs automatically updates your pictures via Google Photos so you even get to use it as a photo frame.

This gadget has been launched at a price of $149 which converts to Rs 11,000 roughly. The gadget will be available for buying from October 22. Would you be interested in buying it? Let us know in the comments section below. Stay tuned to Mr. Phone for more information about smartphone technology.
