Prices of the smartphone have not changed understandably as the 4GB will still cost Rs 14,999 and the 6GB + 64GB will sell for Rs 16,999. Besides the new paint job, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is the same old device that is the go-to for a lot of budget-conscious buyers in India.

It has a reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC inside its guts that promises hassle-free performance even with heavy lifting tasks. The first ever dual camera of the Redmi Note series has also matured to a great extent now and even the 20MP front camera is a top performer in its segment. Our colleague Ershad has done a number of in-depth camera comparisons for the handset on the YouTube channel and you might want to check them out.
