OnePlus 3 and 3T received an Android update last year, after which they were upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo. While the phones have already received the OxygenOS 5.0.1 update, some units haven’t yet been graced with auto updates.
If you are one of those users who hasn’t got it yet, you need to check the ‘updates’ section of your phone. The OxygenOS 5.0.1 has brought some interesting updates to the OnePlus 3 and 3T. The phone has a support for aptX HD which helps in improving the Bluetooth audio. A new soft screen calibration option and Wi-Fi hotspot manager have also been added through this update.
The phones will also receive the December security patch with minor bug fixes. These are reasons enough for you to update your units and you must do so, now.
