Rejoice all the Drone enthusiasts in the house! DJI has announced the successor to its Mavic Air. The Mavic Air 2 is now launched by the brand, and it starts at Rs 61,000 ($799). It will be available in the United States starting May 11 and can be pre-ordered in the states from today. The company has packed a lot of upgrades to this successor. The enthusiasts have been waiting for more than two years. Let’s talk about the features and specifications of DJI Mavic Air 2. 

DJI Mavic Air 2 – Specifications 

Starting with the hardware update info, it packs a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor, which is the largest sensor used in the Mavic Air series. This means you get to click 48MP resolution aerial pictures from this 12MP sensor. The company claims it offers enhanced HDR on photo, video, and panorama. 

Speaking about the video recording capabilities, it can record smooth 4K captures at 60fps, and there’s a support of 8K time-lapse (hyperlapse). Now if you’re into slow-motion videos, it can capture up to 240fps videos. Enjoy recording cinematic shots with the QuickShots feature. 

Talking about the battery life, it claims to offer increased flying time up to 34 minutes maximum. Thus, offering extra fun time playing with your drone. It has a 240 minutes Max RC battery life. Flying is made easy with the obstacle avoidance system. Fly farther and see clear with OcuSync 2.0 technology giving you full HD view up to 10 km flight distance. 

The company teases that its “new Mavic Air 2 takes power and portability to next-level, offering advanced features in a compact form factor.” With intelligent shooting functions and excellent quality sensors at your peril, the drone shooting experience is about to change with Mavic Air 2.
