Bose launches SoundSport Free earbuds and SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speakers in India

Bose Corporation has announced two premium products for India today. One being the SoundSport Free, which is a truly wireless earbuds. The other being a portable micro Bluetooth speaker called the SoundLink Micro.

With respect to the SoundSport Free, earbuds, they’re meant to withstand daily wear and tear and are ideal for sports activities. Each of the two earbuds weighs just 10g and measures just 2.8cm high x 3.0cm deep. They can offer up to 5 hours of continuous clear music playback. With the help of a new antennae system, they can maintain a strong reliable connection of up to 9m with the paired device. The Proprietary StayHear®+ tips are built to be grippy in the ears as well as comfortable. The two earbuds are rugged and IPX4 rated for dust and water resistance.

The charging case can provide an additional two charges for the earbuds thus prolonging the battery life for another 10 hours. The SoundSport Free comes in Black, Midnight Blue and Bright Orange shades and costs Rs 18,990. Sales start on February 7th in retail stores as well as online at &

Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speakers

The SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speaker is the second product launched by the company today. It’s the smallest rugged speaker from Bose. According to the company, it measures 9.5cms wide and deep, 3.8cms high, and weighs a mere 290 grams.

Unlike the earbuds, the SoundLink is waterproof with an IPX7 waterproof rating. It can survive soapy water, chlorinated water, and even salt water.

“A new custom transducer, miniature dual-passive radiators, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery were engineered together – as a micro-system. Cm-for-cm, the Micro delivers a different kind of mobile audio – up to 6 hours of surprisingly loud-and-clear audio and low bass – from an enclosure that fits entirely in the palm of your hand,” said the company press release.

Users will be able to play music, initiate calls and answer them as well as call up Siri or Google Assistant all with their voice.

SoundLink Micro is priced Rs 8990 and comes in Black, Midnight Blue and Bright Orange. It will be sold through the same channels as the SoundSport Free starting February 7th.
