ASUS ZenFone 6 renders and specifications leaked ahead of its launch

While the launch of OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro took all the attention, the month of May is only halfway over. On May 16th, ASUS is touted to be launching the ASUS ZenFone 6, which will once again tackle OnePlus in the budget flagship market. Now, ahead of its launch, an official document has been leaked, showcasing the device’s specifications as well as some renders.

The ASUS ZenFone 6 has already won certain awards at the upcoming Computex 2019 Taipei International Computer Show. The leaked internal document showcases the device from multiple angles, as well as revealing a couple of key specifications.

ASUS ZenFone 6 leaks

The highlight of the ASUS ZenFone 6 is the camera module here. ASUS is using a flip lens design, which constitutes a dual camera setup. The primary sensor is a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with a 13MP super wide-angle secondary sensor. The camera module is made of liquid metal, which reduces component weight by 20% and strength by 4 times. Additionally, the user can easily adjust the angle of the lens module for shooting.

Thanks to the unique camera module, the ZenFone 6 comes with no notch and minute bezels. It features a Full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Under the hood, there will be the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with a huge 5,000mAh battery and support for QC4.0 technology. The display is an LCD panel and there will be a physical fingerprint scanner at the back.

ASUS ZenFone 6 launch date and availability

The ASUS ZenFone 6 will be announced globally on May 16th. As of now, there is no word on what the device’s price would be. That said, we expect it to be around Rs. 30,000 mark. Nonetheless, stay tuned to Mr. Phone to get notified of everything happening in the smartphone world.
