Asus has launched four new smartphones at MWC 2018. The Zenfone 5 Lite is one of these devices and it sports a bezel-less design. The phone also carries ZeniMoji, Asus’ version of Animoji. The other three phones launched by Asus are – ZenFone 5, ZenFone 5Z and ZenFone Max (M1). While the first two devices are laced with AI capabilities, the budget ZenFone Max (M1) and ZenFone 5 Lite carry a decent spec sheet as well.
ZenFone 5 Lite – specs and features
The ZenFone 5 Lite carries a 6.0-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160p. The screen-to-body ratio is 80.3 percent and the phone carries the Asus Blue-light eye-care filter. The phone comes in two variants – one with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and another with the Snapdragon 630 processor. The RAM and ROM on the phone are also variable. One version of the phone carries a combination of 3GB of RAM + 32GB of ROM while other has 4GB of RAM + 64GB of ROM. The native storage on the ZenFone 5 Lite is expandable by up to 2TB and there is a dedicated memory card slot.
The phone has a dual rear and front camera setup. The main camera on the phone carries a combination of 16MP + 8MP sensors with an LED flash. The selfie snapper sports a combination of a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor and an 8MP 120-degree wide-angle lens. The phone carries a 3300mAh battery and the fingerprint sensor is located on the back panel. One can expect a Facial Recognition feature to arrive soon.
The ZenFone 5 Lite runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based ZenUi 5.0. The phone weighs 168g and comes in three colours – Rouge Red, Midnight Black and Moonlight White. The phone will be available from March. Are you looking forward to buying this phone? Let us know in the comments section below.
