Apple Online Store launch in India: What does it mean for India?
Apple has been operating in India for more than 20 years, and the company has lately started to invest heavily in the Indian consumer market. While the brand has been available online via platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and other leading online stores, the company lacked the same premium online experience as its neighbouring countries.
Now Indians would be able to enjoy Apple’s world-class online programs such as Apple Care+, Trade-in, online configuration helps via Apple specialists, Apple sessions, and more. Apple Store online is the most convenient destination for shopping Apple products.
With the world going through a pandemic, and India being one of the worst-hit countries, as COVID cases keep rising, consumers around the country need online services. Apple couldn’t have picked a better time to introduce this service, as it will encourage users to shop online rather than stepping out for shopping at stores.
In October, Apple will hold a free online session dubbed Today at Apple, which will be led by creative professionals focused on photography and music. For festive offerings, the brand will be offering a signature gift wrap and personalized engraving available for select products. Further, engraving of emoji or text in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu will be available for AirPods®, and English engraving will be available for iPad and Apple Pencil®.
Here’s what Apple has to say about the launch of their online store in India.
“We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.”
